It’s been a month since my last column or video, but with the work I’ve been doing on the new radio show, I’ve been busy and remiss at writing. I am back, and I am happy to be writing and creating video again.

For sure, there will be changes to this site as the show takes up a fair amount of my attention. But, change is a good thing, and I am looking forward to it.

It is a shame that others dont look to change as an opportunity. It is a shame that others look down other than up, that they look at the glass half empty, that they view themselves – and by extension others – as losers, as fools. It is a shame that there are those who refuse to see opportunity, reality and necessity.

I am simply glad that I am not one of those people. I live in a world of never ending opportunities. I live in a world that allows me to take advantage of everyday and rewards my efforts. Nothing can stop me from learning, nothing can stop me from searching for answers. Not leftists, not political correctness, not Barbra Streisand…..nothing.

So, where do we go from here?

Wherever we want.

Recently, the Federal Government raised the minimum wage by $.70 an hour, ensuring a nice living wage of $5.85 per hour. No, really…..that’s enough cash, right?

So we all know that it is not enough (nowhere near enough!), and we can rest easy knowing that most Americans make more than the minimum wage. So, what in the world is the big deal about raising the minimum wage?

How about that as it continues to increase, it will put a hurt on small business? Honestly, how much should someone get paid for asking medium or large, with whipped cream or would you like fries with that? How much should someone get paid for manual labor, unskilled labor? It is amazing to realize that those in favor of minimum wage increases never realize that when you start paying too much for positions that don’t deserve it, you end up costing the economy more jobs. Employees end up doing double duty, so employers – and rightfully so! – don’t have to pay a wage to those who should not earn that wage.

The real issue is in the so-called debate between the Democrat candidates that took place on CNN, with questions coming from YouTube. One of the questions, asked by two women from Pennsylvania, presented the premise of the minimum wage increase and asked each of the candidates if they would take the job of President for minimum wage? They all answered yes. (Sen. Biden of Delaware palyed both sides of the coin, but we are used to that by now.)

They all lied, and wasted an opportunity to teach an important lesson to America.

Not one person on that stage has ever or would ever work for minimum wage. The real question is, why would you? If you are thrilled that the government gave you a raise of $.70 per hour, you are a fool. You are, without question, the person who does not deserve a raise. A government hand out should not be looked upon with favor and delight. You should view your minimum wage job not as a career, but as a stepping stone in the right direction. You step from that job up to a better job. Or, you take the experience to start your own job, your own company, your own business.

Only the lowest kind of mentality looks to the government to solve their personal issues. Only the lowest say hooray for a minimum wage increase that proves the previous statement true. Liberals will tell you how lucky you are that they got you this increase. They are trying to buy you, your vote and your soul for $.70 an hour. Only the lowest kind of mentality would consider that a good thing.

Far too often I hear about how America is becoming a fascist nation. How we are losing our freedoms and we are on a first class flight on a one way trip to hell. Luckily, those on the flight bought extra carbon credits – so at least the trip to eternal damnation will be carbon neutral.

But the idea of this is just a fool hardy conversation. Said by fools, who want to spread the concept of bad news where no bad news exists as a ruse to achieve and maintain power; and believed by Useful Idiots – a term coined by Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin to describe Soviet sympathizers in Western nations. Today, we call them Leftists, Liberals, Socialists, Communists, Stalinists and Rep. Murtha (D) of Pennsylvania.

But relax, America……everything is fine. You are still free, and I can prove it.

If anything proves that we are free, it is Cindy Sheehan running for congress. The former anti-war activist has decided that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is not living up to her promises. More to the point, Sheehan believes that Speaker Pelosi has failed to end the war in Iraq and, therefore, the Speaker is no longer the right woman to represent the people of San Francisco.

Say what you will about Ms. Sheehan, and I have said plenty right here, but she is doing exactly what makes this nation so great. She sees what she perceives as a job not being done right, so she figures she can replace that person and do it better. Is there anything that proves our freedom more than that? Cindy Sheehan, who led protests in Crawford, who has been arrested more times than can be counted, is going to run for congress to potentially oust the Speaker of the House?

Someone should tell Cindy, the next time she rails about how horrible the US is, that she should try running for public office in Venezuela where she was welcomed by Hugo Chavez as a hero when she last visited. Then again, she wasn’t trying to have free speech on a television station or still be allowed her multi-billion dollar technological and labor investments in oil fields. Hugo used her to increase his vitriolic anti-American rhetoric, and then sent her on her way. True, another Useful Idiot, but I wonder if Cindy knew then how lucky she has it back here in the United States?

The people of Venezuela have less and less ability to fight back, to rationally try to change the course of their nation. Hugo Chavez takes more and more control, giving less and less rights to the citizenry. Soon, Chavez will take care of making himself President for Life. I’m sure that those who protest Chavez and his communist policies don’t get the opportunity to run for political office. I wonder if Cindy knows how lucky she has it here in the United States?

So, give it up for Cindy. Agree with her or disagree with her, she is taking advantage of her rights as an American and taking her stand to change the country. Cindy vs. Nancy is going to be a great battle, and I can’t wait to watch it. That battle proves we are all free. It proves that America is the greatest place in the world, and that anything can happen here if you work hard. Anything can happen in a free society if you keep it safe. The real question is if she gets elected, what will she do to keep the nation safe and to allow others the same opportunity that she has?

I wonder if Cindy knows how lucky she has it in the United States? I wonder if she even cares?

Sen. Feinstein (D-CA), in an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace, spoke about the need to reintroduce the Fairness Doctrine. Just earlier today, we learned that Sen. Kerry (D-MA…and a Vietnam Vet if you didn’t know!) also believes in the return of the Fairness Doctrine.

The Fairness Doctrine ran far and wide in America. From the late 1940′s through 1987, the Fairness Doctrine – create by the Federal Communications Commission – set out to try and create a balanced approach to the news and opinion that was delivered. It was repealed in 1987 by the FCC, as they then believed that the doctrine was holding back honest discourse. Took only 35+ years to come to their senses.

And now, 20 years later, how in the world can anyone think that there is not a fair and honest discourse going on everywhere. Media is everywhere – newspapers, television, radio, Internet. And, is there any doubt that liberal bias is alive and thriving in newspapers and television? New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS? And on the Internet, what about Daily Kos, Moveon.org, HuffingtonPost, anything written by Rosie O’Donnell?

There are convservative voices…..or, more to the point, less liberal voices. Fox News is one of them, and they get lambasted daily by the Main Stream Media that they are unfair and unbalanced and they should be removed from the airwaves. Leftists think columnists and bloggers like Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin are hate mongerers. But radio offers a far more interesting kunumdrum.

Radio…talk radio, offers a chance for opinion and debate. And, when given the chance to make the choice, the citizens gravitate to talk and opinion that is conservative in nature. This is what drives leftists and Democrats to the brink of total insantiy. It proves that when given a choice, the people want to listen to and interact with people who are hopeful, upbeat, positive. They choose a message that resonates with them. And that message, overwhelmingly, is a conservative message.

The Fairness Doctrine is about liberals forcing their will upon the citizens and inhibiting free speech. Its about their message being the only message and never allowing the people a chance to use their own minds to make their own decisions. It’s just ironic that the only choice leftists are ever in favor of is abortion. You choosing your own radio station, however, is beyond the pale.

Today, the State Bar Association of the Great State of North Carolina voted unanimously to disbar Mike Nifong. Mike Nifong was the District Attorney from Durham who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping a stripper at a party. I wrote about this a few months back under the title Almost Justice .

And today, it indeed got a little closer. Now, I noticed that my original vlog post is not on the site, where I mention the best option for Mike Nifong. (I no longer call him DA Nifong, as he resigned yesterday and now carries the title of worthless conniving bastard.) That video will be put up again in the next few days. However, we are not yet at justice. We fail to acheive justice until we recoginze the fault, and administer the punishment, for the stripper.

She lied about the most disgusting of violent crimes – rape. She put other women in harms way by making all of us question the validity of the rape charge. As a society we can not allow women to be subjegated in this manner by anyone; it is just flat out ironic that it should happen to be by other women. Lying about rape should carry a charge of 50 years in jail. Lying about rape should cost a woman her pension (if she has one), her trust fund (if she has one), her house, her car, her jewlery (including the priceless family heirlooms of most sentimental value); anything, everything and all things. Those who willingly aid in the lie of rape should have the same punishment.

Mike Nifong’s attorney, David Freedman, stated that Nifong, “…hopes this helps restore some of the confidence in the criminal justice system of North Carolina.” It does. Now let’s start on the rest of the nation.

Today is the 63rd anniversary of D-Day. It was 63 years ago that American and Allied Forces crossed the English Channel and launched the largest seaborne assault in history. It was 63 years ago that we remember a fighting force that was unstoppable and unwavering. It was 63 years ago that we remember an American people at home who believed in winning and understood that it was now or never. If we lose the sense of purpose and the unwilingness to protect and defend our own way of life, where will we all be 63 years from now?

As posted by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, I am honored to take part in the FDR D-Day Radio Project. This project is to have radio stations across the nation play President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s prayer that day. I don’t think the Speaker would be bothered that I use the blog/vlog method as well. Now, it is a prayer, so there are many references to God and the Almighty – as a prayer should indeed have. But, underlying this prayer is a belief in self. That we can accomplish the task at hand if we simply choose to accomplish it. It will be tough, it will be daunting, it will be scary and bloody and at many times inhuman. But it must be done in the name of survival. 63 years later, it is still about survival.

Thanks to you, the members of the Armed Forces of the United States and all those who fight for our survival.

“Last night, when I spoke with you about the fall of Rome, I knew at that moment that troops of the United States and our Allies were crossing the Channel in another and greater operation. It has come to pass with success thus far.

“And so, in this poignant hour, I ask you to join with me in prayer:

For those of you who think like former Senator John Edwards that the war on terror is nothing more than a bumper sticker slogan, you might want to take a close look at the art work of Islamo-Fascists. Click here to see the depictions of torture in these Al-Queda manuals. These drawings are brutally graphic, so please view with caution. Also, after viewing these maybe you’ll come to the conclusion that, no matter what the New York Times said, Abu Grahib was not torture.

The real irony of these drawings – the proof of the evil of Radical Islam – is that they come from a group of people who hate cartoons. Do we forget the furor they created over the cartoons of Mohammed? Cartoon drawings of their prophet led them to march through the streets calling for the death of those who draw cartoons. Gary Trudeau is still in hiding. Hell, Garfield is living a double life as a really fat beagle.

So, in essence, the Islamo-Fascist has defined what is art. Art is the depiction of American soldiers having their eyes plucked out. However, the cartoon training manuals are just some examples of their handywork. Here are some other examples. You can draw all the pictures of torture and eating of babies you want, however, the verdict is still out regarding Mapplethorpe. These cartoons are deemed acceptable by the Caliphate. But who cares, right Senator Edwards?

War on terror, Islamo-Fascism, Radical Islam, Submit or Die……just a bumper sticker, right?

We all joke about lawyers. Until we need one, that is. Maybe, somewhere deep in our sub-conscious, an inner voice tells us we should revere lawyers for their quick thinking and mastery of conversation. Maybe, somewhere even deeper, we are jealous of lawyers for all of the power they can amass and money they make. And maybe, even deeper in the regions we don’t talk about at parties, we know that they are just as evil and full of crap as we think they are.

And maybe certain lawyers fit into certain categories I haven’t listed here. Some of them are good people who help you in your time of need. They do exist, as there is always good and bad to every profession. Unfortuantely for all lawyers, they have to claim former senator and presidential candidate John Edwards as one of their own.

John Edwards remarked to the Associated Press today (in a story by Beth Fouhy) that there is no such thing as the war on terror. He went on to say, “”We need a post-Bush, post-9/11, post-Iraq military that is mission focused on protecting Americans from 21st century threats, not misused for discredited ideological purposes,” Edwards said in remarks prepared for delivery. “By framing this as a war, we have walked right into the trap the terrorists have set—that we are engaged in some kind of clash of civilizations and a war on Islam.”"

Later that day, a story reported by ABC’s The Blotter showed new Al-Queda tapes that depicts the Capital building in Washington DC under attack. Another video annouces the “…holocaust of the Americans…”. Luckily, with John Edwards at the helm, we won’t bother fighting these people. After all, how dangerous could they really be. President Bush and those dirty Republicans just hate Muslims and are a bunch of bigots – it’s that easy.

How much more proof do you need that Islamo-fascism is the enemy of all free and thinking people? How could being pro-active in destroying Radical Islam and everything it stands for not protect Americans from 21st century threats? Are there any bigger threats to the world in this century? (Sorry, global warming doesn’t even rank!) And, as I now understand the sickness of Radical Islam, it’s not ok to make a cartoon of Mohammed, but it’s acceptable to make videos showing an attack on the US Capital? Sorry, that’s far worse than any cartoon.

John Edwards makes lawyers and liberals look like fools. Ok, I admit its not tough to make liberals look bad…but the lawyers don’t need any more help in this area, either.
